When you hear of someone having a ?long distant relationship? it doesn?t really conjure up the best of emotions. You?re typically going to feel a bit of tiredness over the thought of it, perhaps even hopeless as if it can?t really be done. Most of us want to do everything in our powers to avoid it altogether, but when you fall in love and you?re forced into a long distant relationship you?ll do what you have to do to make sure that things work.
The most important thing that you must remember is it?s all about maintaining the connection. Sometimes this will require a lot of creativity. Skype can be your best friend and now we can even speak to others across the world all from our cell phones for free! What is it that helps you stay connected? Is it talking often, is it love letters, what about pictures to be a part of your significant others life? Chances are all the above is helpful!
What about your partner, how is it that they stay connected? What makes them most happy to stay in touch and feel like they?re still with you? You both have to remember that you?ll connect differently, so while one may require lots of phone time, the other may want emails regularly sent sharing why you love them so much. Making sure that you both go out of your way to connect with each other that accommodates the other.
Of course you definitely want to take the time to actually see each other, but when thats not a possibility your connection will be the lifeline to your relationship. So really make an effort at keeping it fresh, exciting and what your partner needs and wants. Creativity is the key. When you run out of ideas be sure to keep the communication open and be willing to ask your partner their true desires. Once they?re willing to share that with you, go the extra mile to make it happen!
Don?t give up before you quite, though your love may be far away, staying connected and creative communication is the answer. Make the effort and let the person you love know that they are worth the work and the wait. Besides, chances are you?ll spend your time with pointless dating, so if you?ve found a real catch then hold on to them and make it work.
